BLOG

We are starting a new series on our blog where we feature a vendor that we know and trust! For the first installment, we are talking about Reunion Ranch in Georgetown. Reunion Ranch is a stunning property in the hill country where you can be married under the cover of 100-year-old oak trees! How STUNNING is this view?

Natassia West is the Wedding and Social Coordinator at Reunion Ranch. Our team at Amour Bridal has had the pleasure of working closely with Natassia and we can confidently say she will work harder than anyone to give each client an exceptional experience!

We asked her a few questions about what she wants all the brides out there to know 😊 and here are her answers!

What is the most special thing about Reunion Ranch?

The most special thing about Reunion Ranch is our people and customer service! We are a family-owned company that takes pride in each of our employees as well as our customers.

What is a piece of advice you would give brides searching for their perfect venue?

Find a place where you walk in and immediately have a connection, with not only the venue, but the wedding coordinator and staff. You will be working alongside them throughout the entire process and will want that comfort and reliability throughout.

What kind of packages do you offer?

We offer multiple different packages as well the option to truly customize your special day. A few things we offer with all packages are: in-house catering, tables/chairs/linens, day of coordinator, setup/breakdown/cleanup, full staff, full day rental and much more!

Finally, what is something you wish brides knew ahead of booking a venue?

I would say the most important thing to know before booking a venue would be, your budget, your guest count, and a specific date you would like unless you are totally flexible on the date.

Check out their website for more info and head out to Reunion Ranch today!

A couple months ago you probably read our blog post from Ashley about her wedding advice. If you missed it, check it out here. I thought I'd go ahead and share my top tips for wedding planning as well! Remember - everyone has their own wish list when it comes to wedding planning. There's no one size fits all when it comes to weddings so feel free to ignore all those articles telling you to do this or do that. Do what works best for you ad your fiance...it is your day after all, right?

1. Find something that is important to you to splurge on.

$2000 for a wedding dress sounds like a lot of money, right? Well it is....but if you are one of those girls who has dreamed about the perfect dress since you were a little girl, go ahead an splurge on it! Don't forget your pictures last forever!

Maybe you really want an open bar but you're afraid of the cost? Do just beer and wine to keep cost down!

No matter what it is you most desire, find something else in the budget that you can cut back on. For my wedding I REALLY wanted an ice cream sundae bar! I don't know why but I always thought it would be so much fun! At $8 per person it was definitely a splurge and I almost talked myself out of it. When looking at our wedding budget and what we still needed to do, I decided I really did not care about programs! Just like that I was able to cut something out to accommodate my splurge and I'm so glad I did it!

2. Don't sweat the small stuff.

On the day of your wedding something is bound to go wrong. Even leading up to your wedding, you are probably going to stress about every little detail. I can't say I blame you. You want the day to be perfect and for the money you are spending, why shouldn't it be!? Don't let the tiny details get in the way of your enjoyment though. I look back on my wedding planning and I honestly enjoyed most of it! I sure did have my moments where my husband and I couldn't agree on something, or something didn't come out just as I had envisioned, but you know what? The only one that is going to notice those tiny details, is you. When you feel things going wrong - take a deep breath, pour a glass of wine, and just remember what is important about your wedding day and that's you and your significant other making a commitment to each other.

3. Take Dance Lessons

Ok not everyone loves to dance so this may not apply to you. One of the best things I did before my wedding was take dance lessons with my husband. He was traveling a lot for work so whenever he was home for a weekend we took some lessons and it was such a fun thing for us to do together. During our first dance, we floated across the dance floor with ease!

With prom just around the corner - it's time to start talking about tux rentals!

As an official retailer of Jim’s Formal Wear, we work to make the rental process incredibly easy! The first step is to come into our shop to choose your style. JFW offers an array of styles, ranging from traditional to the latest trends, and you can rent them all! We recommend coming in at least 1 month before the event but ideally 2-3 especially during prom season!

Next, we will take your measurements. Typically, tux measurements include the chest, overarm, hip, waist, out seam, and shirt neck/sleeve. If you are an out-of-towner, you can send us measurements (free of charge) by visiting any Jim’s Formal Wear location. There are locations all throughout the country! Once we place the order, you can expect your rental to be in our store the Wednesday before the event. It is best to come in that Wednesday to try it on so any that adjustments need to be made, we have plenty of time to do so. We have extended hours on Wednesdays to help accommodate busy schedules!

Finally, all rentals need to be returned to Amour Bridals within 1-2 days after the event. Don't forget we are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays - so don't drop them off on those days.

Now to address a few frequently asked questions:

1. What do I do if my groomsmen are out of town?

Not to worry! As mentioned above they can go to any Jim's Formal Wear retailer and get measured. They can then call in their measurements and payment. We can even ship directly to them if that is easiest for them!

2. How much do the rentals cost?

We are competitively priced starting around $90 and going up to $200 or so depending on the package and any additional items you may be looking to order. Our packages come with the Jacket, vest, tie or bow tie, shirt, and pants. Additional items to rent include pocket squares, shoes, and socks. Also - for wedding parties, with 5 paid rentals the groom's tux is FREE! Who doesn't love free stuff!?

3. What about destination weddings?

If you need an extended rental we offer a 2 week rental with the second week being half priced. That will ensure you have plenty of time to get the rental back to us with out having to pay late fees!

Give us a call or come by today if we can help you look sharp for your next big event 😊 www.amourbridaltexas.com

It is best to schedule a tux appointment - even if you are just getting measured to be sure we have someone on staff trained in measuring! 512-596-5683
